📖 Commit Your Works to the Lord - Proverbs 16:3

✝️ Verse Meaning

Proverbs 16:3 teaches us to place our work, plans, responsibilities, and desires into God's hands. To “commit” our works to the Lord means more than simply asking God to bless what we have already decided. It means deliberately bringing our plans before Him, trusting His wisdom, and being willing to follow His direction.
We often spend a great deal of time trying to control what happens next. We make plans for our careers, families, finances, relationships, and future, yet we cannot see everything that lies ahead. This verse reminds us that God sees what we cannot see.
When we sincerely place our work before the Lord, He can establish our thoughts. He can bring greater clarity to our decisions, correct wrong motives, and give us wisdom when we feel uncertain. This does not mean every plan will happen exactly as we imagined. Sometimes God redirects us because His purpose is better than our own.
Today, begin by giving your plans to God in prayer. Ask Him to guide your decisions and examine your motives. Work faithfully, but leave the final outcome in His hands. When your plans are surrendered to God, you can move forward with greater peace and confidence.
