📖 The Power of the Gospel – Romans 1:16

✝️ Verse Meaning

In a world that often mocks or dismisses the message of the cross, Paul boldly declares, “I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ.” This verse is a powerful reminder that the Gospel is far more than nice words or religious tradition—it is the very power of God at work.

The Greek word for “power” here is dynamis, from which we get the word “dynamite.” God’s good news carries explosive, transforming energy that brings salvation to everyone who believes. It doesn’t matter your background, culture, or past—the Gospel is for the Jew first and also for the Greek, meaning it is universal.

Today, many hesitate to share their faith because of fear of rejection or judgment. Yet Paul’s example challenges us to stand unashamed. When we truly understand that the Gospel saves, heals, and gives eternal life, our hesitation fades. It empowers us to live differently, love boldly, and speak truth with gentleness and confidence.

Let this verse stir your heart to embrace the Gospel afresh. Whether you’re facing opposition or simply need courage in daily conversations, remember: the same power that raised Jesus from the dead is active in His message. Trust it, live it, and share it freely.

Key Takeaway: Never be ashamed of the only message that can truly save a soul.
